Nom nom nom

Not a lot going on here lately. Weeeell... some interesting things have been happening, but as a rule I won't write about religion or my work place on teh interwebs, so that does rather limit my ability to discuss recent events.

Some excellent blog-friendly news though - our deliveries from Aussie Farmers Direct started this week!

We get milk, eggs, and ham on Wednesdays, fruit and veg on Fridays, and milk and bread on Saturdays. This Friday was our first fruit and veg delivery - very exciting! You can see below how many different things we got - this is the Couples Box, the smallest you can get. Everything looks beautiful and fresh, and we also got a little info sheet with a list of everything we got, information on farming conditions and so forth, and a recipe idea.

So much more pleasant than going to the supermarket. We did go down to IGA this afternoon, and stocked up on all the things we don't get delivered. I will also have to regularly send Mr Bon out to buy bananas for me - I get through three bananas a day, so the AFD supply will need to be topped up regularly.

Oh, by the way - I'm just going to leave the site blacked out for a couple more days - it was only supposed to run from Jan 25th - 29th, but as I didn't actually put up any new posts in that time, I figured no one would have seen it! So now that this post is going up, I'll give it a couple of days and then take the black out off.

Oh yum, that looks like a fabulous selection. I started once guying a local box of fruit and veg but somehow I just lost the will. Must try again this year!! Yum, bananas, ours in the shops are giant and really green right now. Yuck.

Oooh how delicious!!

Loved when we were part of a similar organic food drop - it was great! Only foods that are in SEASON, what a novel idea, hey ;D

AM looking more and more in to permaculture and getting very excited planning our block! Then we won't even need a food drop, we can wander out and nibble straight from the vine!!

xoxo
