Busy busy busy

Whew. I did mean to post about a couple of things on the weekend, but it ended up being too busy.

I was going to tell you all about the worm casting harvest we did at work, and I planned some nice photos too. We have two worm farms at work which process all the tea, coffee, and foodscraps. We have a roster for feeding the farms each day, and the worm juice is just shared out on an ad-hoc basis as the bottles fill up. When it's time to harvest, we all bring in containers and a few of us will fill them up, and give the farm a bit of a clean. On Sunday I distributed my share of the castings to my seedlings - hopefully they'll thrive on them :)

The tomatoes, celery, lettuce and leeks are doing really well. Beans are still suffering heavily from slater gnawing, and basil is just generally struggling.

The other thing I was going to post about on the weekend was Progurt. I make Progurt for myself as part of several diet adjustments to cope with my IBS, and this weekend I also made up a batch for a friend at work. It's not easy to tell, but my general feeling is that the Progurt is helping quite a lot. I'll throw up a picture next time I do a batch.

Not much else to report - we've been busy helping some friends move house, which was quite fun except for a short bout of trachycardia. Oh, and we washed Tess on Sunday! That was pretty good fun, except for the period in which she was in genuine fear for her life. Thankfully the bath proved not to be fatal :D
